I’m on an airplane right now flying back from Tulsa, OK. We took a group of church leaders there this week for the Seeds Conference at Church on the Move, one of the most daring, cutting-edge, modern, and largest churches in the world. VENUE is very much modeled after this church.

I’m returning tonight a little tired from a long week, but also re-energized in a way I have never been before. We worshipped this week with a few thousand other church leaders from around the world. We also heard some incredibly challenging messages from some God-gifted pastors that encouraged us, gave us food for thought and even at times gave us a little spanking. You know, sometimes we need that. The lessons I remember most from growing up are the lessons I learned from my dad. The ones I learned at the hands of my Father giving me that little spanking. I’m not saying we need to go around beating people up by any means, but you see God disciplines those He loves as a father disciplines his son. I’m very thankful that my Father loved me enough to discipline me as a child and I’m even more thankful that the Creator of the Universe loves me enough to discipline me. That makes me feel pretty special. When was the last time you heard the voice of The Father disciplining you? Did you recognize it? Did you listen?
